DJ Peter V.
Peter V began his DJ career in 1986, playing music in hotel nightclubs primarily for mature audiences. Soon to follow was work with highly experienced music programmers and mixers in the Houston club scene. In 1989, he moved to the Los Angeles area to further his career and develop his craft. While on the West Coast, he worked for a number of corporate and independent nightclubs expanding his music knowledge by programming a wide variety of music formats. In 1992, Peter V. relocated back to Houston and within 6 months was hired as the senior programmer for Randy’s nightclub, later renamed Caio. It was there that he was given a stage to showcase his entertainment talents beyond the DJ booth.
Eventually, Peter V. moved on to other Houston area clubs including Regine’s and The Roxy. In 1997, Peter V. was offered a position in the Boogie Nights nightclub chain; soon promoted to Entertainment Coordinator for the Houston area. When Boogie Nights finished its run in the fall of 2000, Peter V. began full-time work as a mobile DJ working for Sound Connections Inc., Impressive Entertainment, and others. Soon thereafter, he began A Higher Note: Professional DJ Services, Karaoke Party Machine: Interactive DJ-styled Karaoke, and The Town Center Tailgate: a high-energy Houston Texans Game-Day Viewing Party Experience (in local venues). In 2004, he acquired an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Communications with Honors from Alvin Community College in Radio Broadcasting.
